PLAYFIGHT
AND THERAPY
Embodied personal growth through confrontation and care
Playfight is a guided physical practice where two people meet in a safe and respectful setting to wrestle with their emotions, patterns, and inner conflicts—using the body, voice, and presence. It’s not about winning or being the strongest. It’s about meeting yourself and the other with honesty and curiosity.
Playfight becomes a tool to access emotions that are often hard to reach with words alone. By engaging the body, people reconnect with their instincts, their boundaries, and their power. They process emotions not just by talking about them—but by feeling and expressing them.
WHO IS IT FOR
Those looking for body-mind integration
People who feel stuck, numb, overwhelmed, or disconnected. Those who want to face inner struggles with courage and care.
Clients already in therapy
Playfight can complement traditional talk therapy by unlocking deeper body awareness, emotional expression, and nervous system regulation.
Therapists, coaches and educators
Professionals who want to expand their toolbox with a physical, relational, and somatic approach that helps clients process emotions in a safe, structured way.
WHY IT WORKS
Many emotions live in the body. When we move, resist, push, yield, growl, or hold still—we give space to what words can’t reach.
Playfight creates a container where:
- People can express anger without harming.
- Boundaries can be tested and reinforced.
- Power can be reclaimed without domination.
- Vulnerability can be seen, accepted, and supported.
It’s not a performance. It’s a ritual space guided by clear agreements and compassionate facilitation.
BENEFITS
In almost a decade of experience and over 5000 sessions offered around the globe, people have consistently reported a series of direct benefits:
- Feeling more grounded and connected to their body
- Gaining confidence in setting clear boundaries
- Processing unresolved anger, grief, or shame
- Breaking patterns of people-pleasing or avoidance
- Reconnecting with joy, playfulness, and aliveness
- Strengthening the inner "yes" and "no"
- Building resilience through honest confrontation
- Strengthening compassion and self-compassion
THE TANGI METHOD
At the core of Playfight is the Tangi Method — an embodied approach developed to support emotional growth, relational intelligence, and inner strength through body-based practices.
The four pillars of the method are:
- Safety and Consent: Establishing clear boundaries and mutual agreements to create a secure environment.
- Mindful Confrontation: Encouraging conscious exploration of emotions and interpersonal dynamics.
- Embodied Awareness: Leveraging body-based experiences to enhance self-awareness, emotional literacy, and self-regulation.
- Transformative Play: Using playfulness to lower defenses, encourage openness, and spark genuine emotional breakthroughs.
FOR PROFESSIONALS
Therapists, Coaches, Educators or Social workers can integrate Playfight in their profession to:
- Help clients integrate emotions somatically
- Explore themes like boundaries, aggression, trust, and consent
- Support trauma recovery by working with the body in a safe, structured way
